An after-school art offering that allows for student choice. This offering is open to students age 8 and above that are interested in learning about different art practices to expand their skill base. Each 90 minute class will have a planned project that students can participate in, or they can choose to work on another goal that interests them more. Instructors will be on hand to provide individualized instruction. Class size is intentionally small (8 students max) to allow for a quality experience. Offered on a twice weekly, weekly, or drop-in basis. 6 week session.
Session A: Tuesdays 6:00-7:30PM 9/10-10/15
Session B: Thursdays 6:00-7:30PM 9/13-10/17
Session C: Tuesdays 6:00-7:30PM 11/5-12/10
Session D: Thursdays 6:00-7:30PM 11/7-12/19 (No class Thanksgiving Day)
Fee: Includes all materials and instruction. $40 drop-in, $175 1 class/6 weeks, $325 2 classes/6 weeks
Open to adults. Teaches basic clay practices, hand-building techniques, embellishment, and glazing techniques. Class fee includes use of tools and glazes. Students pay a $20 clay fee. Firing fees are determined by space used in kiln. All clay and glazes are Cone 5/6 (stoneware).
Fee: $200 plus clay and firing fees
Join us on Wednesday nights from 6-8pm for a relaxing craft and good company. A different craft is offered each week, always user friendly and meant to be welcoming for beginners. Sessions are $20 unless specified otherwise.
Relaxed environment to learn drawing. Each studio session will have a warm-up period and then a sustained exercise to last one hour minimum. Basic skills such as line quality, perspective, spot measuring, and shading will be introduced and practiced. Students are expected to provide their own drawing boards and paper. Drawing kits available for purchase. Monthly fee.
Fee: $100/month
This offering is for painters (both oil and acrylic welcome!) that are looking to continue their practice with low-pressure, individualized instruction in a quiet, calm environment. Students have access to the studio space as well as the grounds for plein air work. Students at the beginning level are recommended to take at least three hours of private instruction prior to joining. Students are expected to bring their own brushes/paints. Canvases available for purchase. Easels and palettes provided. Monthly fee.
Fee: $125/month
This option is offered to those who have experience with art, ceramic, and craft but don’t have a studio to work in. Membership is offered on a case by case basis. Please contact with any questions or if you are interested in joining.
Lessons are arranged in advance. Instruction in drawing, painting, color theory, ceramics, fiber arts, leather working, and paper arts are all available.
Fee: $60/hr for private lessons, $45 for semi-private.
